The title of this collection is a statement of intent. For most of recorded history, the deepest teachings of the world's spiritual traditions were held behind three gates: initiation, priesthood, and price. You had to be chosen, you had to be ordained, or you had to be wealthy. Sacred Studies Without Walls exists because Buddha University Press decided those gates had outlived their purpose.
